Join us for a workshop designed to get you ready for Districts and All-State Choir auditions — inside and out. You'll leave knowing your piece cold, singing with confidence, and walking into that audition room ready. Attendance is limited to 50 participants. Scholarships available upon request – email music@classicaluprising.org for more information.
The workshop will include the following stations:
Group lesson on your prepared solo piece
One-on-one coaching to polish your solo
Pitch matching practice and games
Major scales singing with confidence
Sight-reading practice and coaching
Score sheets demystified — know exactly what judges are listening for
Tips and tricks from people who've been in that room

*Note - this workshop is aimed at current 7th-12th grade students.
Instructors Include:
Matt LaBerge - composer, conductor, performer and educator currently serving as the Children’s Chorus Director and Main Stage Narrator at the Portland Symphony Orchestra, and chorus teacher at Scarborough Middle School.
Evan Cuddy - pianist, violist, and music director currently serving as general music and chorus teacher at Longfellow elementary, as well as assistant director and accompanist for the K-12 youth choir program, Horizon Voices.
Meagan Amelia Brus - soprano with over 20 years international experience as a performing and recording artist of classical/opera/modern chamber music.
Dr. Emily Isaacson - conductor, speaker, artistic consultant, and founder and artistic director of Classical Uprising.
Molly Harmon - local voice teacher and soprano, specializing in classical and choral singing, with over 10 years of experience judging for both the District 1 and 2 Honors Festivals.
Ryan Geary - choral Director at Sanford High School, Maine ACDA board member, and previous judge for the MMEA District 1 7th/8th Grade Honors Festival Auditions.
